Dear Editor:
Having collaborated with Nancy Beninati for the League of Women Voters of Piedmont and knowing of her important work with the California Department of Justice and Goldman School of Public Policy at U.C. Berkeley along with her volunteerism in the schools and sports, I have always thought that she would be a dream candidate for Piedmont City Council. Well, dreams can come true and I was thrilled when she announced her candidacy.
Her greatest assets, I believe, will be her integrity and determination to listen to her neighbors’ thoughts and opinions and carefully consider their needs. When addressing opposing views, Nancy has demonstrated the rare ability to look deeply into underlying community pressures as well as common goals to find a fair position. Nancy always does the investigative work and is never swayed by strong forces. I trust Nancy to meet our needs on even the most difficult issues.
Please join me in voting on November 3, and I urge you to cast your vote for Nancy Beninati.
